Giving Back

Goosi is a small business with a big heart for helping others – and we want you to be a part of the powerful impact supporting these worthwhile charities can make to our communities and families.

Goosi proudly supports the following charities:

  • Wiltshire Air Ambulance

  • Yellow Wellies

  • Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

With each product sold, a 50 pence donation will be donated to one of the above charities, and with each commission, a £2 donation will be given. At the end of each year, the money accumulated for these charities will be divided equally and donated at the same time. Taking place in December each year.

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust is solely dependent on public support, which is why donations are so important to enabling them to continue their life-saving service which has been vital to the lives of so many across Wiltshire and surrounding areas.

To allow them to keep flying for us, they need to raise £4.5 million each year, equivalent to £12,000 a day. So, let’s say, let’s keep them flying and support them, the best we can. Because you just never know when you might need this vital service.

Did you know farming is one of the most hazardous industries in our country?

Growing up, I have myself, witnessed accidents on our farm, and whilst we have been lucky so far to have these be resolved quickly or be fairly minor, it is easy to contemplate what could have been. Generations in our family before us have died doing what they love, and that is the case for so many farmers up and down the country.

Yellow Wellies opens the eyes of the next generation of farmers. Raising awareness of farm safety, and challenging attitudes towards taking risks and mental health, through award-winning education and innovative farm safety training.

The UK’s food standards are second to none. There are a vast number of regulations UK farmers must follow to continue farming, from livestock welfare, planting, growing & harvesting crops, slurry management, soil health, protecting landscapes, promoting biodiversity, and everything in between. A huge pressure is placed on farmers to keep on farming and plan for the next generation whilst increasing business resilience, efficiency, reducing their environmental impact and supporting biodiversity and local communities. The pressures are on. And farmers need our support.

After all: No Farmers = No Food.

I think we can all agree, stepping out into the open air and walking in meadows, or along a sunlit path amongst greenery on a cold winter’s day watching wildlife, sparks a healing feeling in each of us. One we don’t always admit to but continue to feel the valued benefits of anyway. You might even say natures beauty and being brings out the best in us – although can we say that we do the same for our nature?

The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust protects and manages nature reserves across Wiltshire and Swindon – including our wetlands, woodlands, meadows, and chalk downland habitats, so we can benefit and enjoy the wildlife that it promotes and homes.

Their work is tremendous in connecting our communities with our natural world – inspiring the next generation to take meaningful and positive action for nature and climate.

To care for our wildlife, our farmers, and to ensure emergency services are in place for when we need them most. We must support our local charities together.
