There are some mornings at Bramblewood when very little happens at all. The bees go about their work, butterflies drift above the garden and the path lies quietly beneath the trees.

This, however, was not one of those mornings.

A traveller had appeared on the path - cloaked in blue, carrying an old wooden staff and looking very much as though he had come from somewhere considerably farther away than the neighbouring field. Even the stag had stopped to watch him pass.

No one could quite say what had brought him to Bramblewood. Perhaps he had heard of the little house hidden amongst the greenery, or perhaps some road of his own had simply led him there. Either way, the arrival of a wizard usually meant that something interesting was not far behind.
